Be Merry and Joyous - Holiday Menu

$5.00 - $250.00

Every year we put together a delicious and nourishing holiday menu for you to share with your family and friends. Perhaps this year is a little different and you’re sharing a meal over Zoom rather than in person, either way this menu boasts tons of flavour and variety so there is something for everyone. Whether you’re hosting a brunch with your social bubble or a holiday dinner with friends over Zoom, I hope these recipes bring you all joy!

This year we are donating 100% of the proceeds of the Be Merry and Joyous Holiday Menu to one of our favourite registered charities, St. Felix Centre in Kensington Market, Toronto. For the last few years the Joyous team has donated their time to help make a meal for some of the most marginalized communities in the downtown core at St. Felix. Due to Covid, this year is a little different - while we won’t be going there in person to make a meal we still want to make a difference which is why we need your help. We’ve put together this beautiful menu for you to share with your loved ones but think of how many people do not have access to a nourishing meal like this. This is truly heartbreaking. St. Felix Centre is a refuge from the cold, a nourishing meal and most importantly, a sense of community for the most marginalized.

Whether it’s $5 or $250, every dollar makes a difference.

A little bit more about St. Felix

In the late 1930’s, the Felician Sisters began this tradition of giving and supporting the community which surrounded their convent at 25 Augusta Avenue. The Sisters provided their community with food and other assistance, and even built a daycare behind their building for children of new immigrants. Above all, the Sisters showed compassion and love to all those in need of their support.

It was in 1993 when the St. Felix Centre was officially established, and ten years later it became a registered charity. From its inception the late 1930’s until now, the centre has been continually evolving and adapting to meet the needs of our community, preserving its long tradition of compassionate service throughout the years.

Today, we are dedicated to providing support to some of the most marginalized individuals in Toronto’s downtown core. Services and programs for our guests are offered in a safe, welcoming and respectful environment inclusive of all religions, genders, cultures, and abilities. All peoples are treated with respect and dignity, regardless of circumstance, in the Felician-Franciscan tradition.
